These terms cover your use of meibo (meibo.io), a directory service for schools and clubs run by Fennec Studio LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us"). By signing in to meibo you agree to them. The privacy policy explains what we do with the information in it.

1. What meibo is

meibo hosts private directories. Each directory has an owner, who sets it up, decides who can view it and who can add to it, and approves entries. Members, the families and staff, view the directory and add or edit their own entries.

2. Your account

You need to be at least 18 to have a meibo account. Keep your email and sign-in provider secure: anyone who can sign in as you can see and change what you can.

3. What you put in a directory

  • Add only information you have the right to share: your own, your family's, or information you have permission to add. An entry about a child must be added by the child's parent or guardian, or by the school or club.

  • You keep ownership of what you add. You let us store it, and show it to the people the directory's owner allows, for as long as it stays in meibo.

  • Keep it accurate, and correct or remove it when it changes.

4. If you own a directory

  • You decide who may see and add to your directory, and you are responsible for that choice and for the entries you approve.

  • Make sure your school, club or organisation lets you run a directory for it, and that collecting this information fits its own rules.

  • Deal with reports about entries in your directory, and remove entries that should not be there.

5. Using directory information

Directory information is for getting in touch within your school or club. Do not:

  • copy or scrape a directory in bulk;

  • use it to sell, advertise, fundraise for an unrelated cause, or send bulk messages;

  • share it with anyone the directory's owner has not let in;

  • use meibo to harass anyone, or to post anything unlawful or anything that is not yours to post.

We may remove content, or suspend access, that breaks these terms.

6. Plans and payment

Directories of up to 25 entries are free. Larger directories need a paid plan, billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or yearly, and renewed until you cancel. Prices are shown before you buy. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and the plan runs to the end of the period already paid for.

7. Deleting a directory or an account

An owner can delete entries at any time. To delete a whole directory, or your account, write to us at support@fennec.studio. The privacy policy says what is deleted and how long backups keep it.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep meibo running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features. If we stop meibo altogether, we will give directory owners at least thirty days' notice.

9. Disclaimers

meibo is provided "as is". We do not check what is in a directory, and we are not responsible for what owners or members add to it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Ending your use

You can stop using meibo at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

13. Changes to these terms

We will post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email directory owners before it takes effect.
